Ag Science Redefined

About Us

Our journey began in 2013.  Our goal was to design and engineer an energy efficient, commercial-grade food dryer.  We wanted to deliver a high capacity machine that preserved food quality and reduced energy costs.

Our initial efforts involved exclusively drum drying.  This process allowed us to successfully dry potato waste (by example) into a fine powder or starch that was, and continues to be, sold as a pet food “filler”.  We also sell our starch to cattlemen to feed many thousands of head.  Worthwhile for sure, but human food was always the goal.

By 2019 we nearly perfected our vacuum drying capabilities.  This resulted in cleaner and more energy efficient drying.  We discovered our new technology more effectively dries many agricultural plants and even extracts oils and essences that are not possible in a drum dryer.  This new technology allows us to dry or extract food-grade products.

Grandview, WA is home to Dry Harvest’s main facility.  Primarily because Grandview is central to the Yakima Valley agricultural production area.  Agricultural companies in the tri-cities region process and package over 60 different fruits and vegetables.  A perfect location for us to test a variety of products.

We will continue innovating cutting-edge technology in the world of agricultural production.  Especially as it relates to what has been branded historically as “waste”.  Doing our part to make sure everyone has quality food!
